Michael B. Pocock, a skilled blacksmith and farrier since the late seventies, originally founded the Ironworks in 1995 before relocating it to Clarksburg at the turn of the century, where it continues to thrive as a blacksmith studio.

The Ironworks has evolved into more than just a blacksmith studio—it continues to be a vibrant hub where community groups often come together to celebrate artistry and imagination. For decades, The Ironworks has stood as a sanctuary for artists and artisans, fostering a sense of connection and collaboration that transcends boundaries.
Michael B. Pocock's influence extends beyond the walls of The Ironworks, shaping the very fabric of Clarksburg’s identity. Each sculpture and each piece of art adorning its halls is a testament to the collective spirit of creativity and camaraderie nurtured within. As The Ironworks embraces the future, it does so with gratitude for its supportive community.
