Commissioned to craft a striking statement piece for a Grand Room, I led a collaborative design process—refining concept, size, theme, and budget. Designed in three sections for seamless transport, the sculpture required a three-tier scaffolding setup for installation.
Guided by conversations with the clients, I sketched initial concepts to shape the vision. Through our discussions on design, scale, and colour, the tree sculpture took form, later painted in the client’s chosen hue.
Once ready, a paper template was created with clearly marked positioning of each mounting bracket to ensure a seamless installation on the stone wall.
With the installation site cleared, scaffolding was erected and the template was aligned and secured in place.
Mounting bolts were attached to the stone wall then, one-by-one, the sections of the sculpture were put into place under the friendly supervision of the owners.
The skylights in this great room cast a beautiful light, bringing to the life the movement of this piece, ready for the homeowners to enjoy for years to come.
